Challenge#
Targeting USGBC LEED Gold while accommodating sophisticated molecular-scale engineering research, including sensitive equipment like electron microscopes.
Solution#
ACI supplied active chilled beams to provide supplemental heating and cooling to these labs to minimize the air handler load. The passive chilled beams provided the necessary cooling by augmenting the performance of the beam with adjacent linear slot diffusers for the electron microscopes.
